Set of two purple Czech glass buttons with a shank

Here are two perfectly identical handcrafted glass buttons from Czechoslovakia. These buttons are in shades of mauve and purple, making them perfect embellishments for fall or winter. They have a sturdy metal base and a shank. The shape of these decorative buttons is unique as they are predominantly formed of marquise-shaped stones. Each stone is a prong-set, and the glass stones are held in place by claws. These decorative buttons measure 30 mm in length and 20 mm in width. Each button weighs 6 grams.

These buttons will look perfect on thick fabrics, such as those in pea coats, coats, capes, or blazers. They would be particularly charming on heavy velvet fabrics, for example. You can sew them onto pants' pockets, leather bracelets, or the center of a bow to enhance a hair accessory. Remember that these buttons are not lightweight, so they may not be ideal for securing a white blouse, but they would be perfect for accentuating the collar of the same blouse. I also envision them as lovely decorations on napkin rings.
